The same chap has made several similar youtube videos - basically meant to be educational, but in a dramatic way. For example, explaining how you can risk killing yourself in carrying out the supposedly simple task of changing a light bulb without taking safety precautions. Blowing up the electrolytic wasn't accidental - it was intentional, (maybe even irresponsible or reckless, depending on one's point of view), to make the point. It certainly does that!

In the summer I sprayed some wheel discs in my greenhouse where it was dust-free and warm so the paint would quickly dry to a nice dust free finish. Then I knocked off for lunch, unthinkingly leaving the aerosol can in the greenhouse. The sky cleared, bright sun streamed down onto the greenhouse, and when I went back to it after lunch the base of the aerosol can was bulging fit to burst. Needless to say, I'm rather attached to my fingers and didn't wish to become detached from them, so I didn't pick it up - I gave it a wide berth till the next morning when it was cold, before I went near it.

Mate done that, left a can of deicer spray in the glovebox. Add sun, a nice bang and a split right up the windscreen.

Deicer is the worst thing you can leave in a car in the summer.
We left a box of candles on the back window ledge and drove all the way to Naples. What a mess
