Valve inter electrode capacitance.

Would a variation in screen grid voltage affect the inter electrode capacitance by virtue of an increase or decrease in screen grid power dissipation, I'm thinking thermal movement?

Hi Lawrence, the wires are quite small and relatively "stiff", but I have known them to give microphony with external vibration.
High dissipation can cause them to sag, which may modify the (pretty small) capacitance.
Note that if the valves are to be used horizontal then the data books suggest that the grid support structures should be above and below, not side to side.

Thanks Ed, I was thinking in the context of a regen det resolving SSB/CW hence the change in the inter electrode capacitance (Cag) question as the regen control on the one I have been working on adjusts the screen voltage of the regen det and was wondering if any change in screen grid dissipation would alter Cag as a noticable effect compared to any Miller effect that might be present.
