I've seen the one where the French guy makes one but not this one before.
This bloke makes a "C" type triode.
It's a long video so be patient, I think it's worth a watch all the way through although it might appear to be a bit slow at the start.

I like the way he checks for vacuum leaks and the valves transconductance before he seals the envelope and fires the getters....

What I liked is that he gave an explanation on all the different operations when making that valve rather than just some crap background music and flashonics.

A bit of a hero and hats off to him.
