Myford Lathe Co re-established

I've never owned a Myford lathe and don't aspire to one, but it was sad to note that the long-established well-regarded Beeston (Nottingham) based company went to the wall some months ago. I notice that the firm has been re-established, though to what extent I've no idea. I know that other firms had a buying frenzy and bought up most of the stock from the receivers, but now it seems, the trading name is up and running again, and plans to attend model engineering exhibitions.

Many thanks David for this update.

It's RDG who have opened the new Myford centre. I've visited RDG many times but note Myford parts are only available for collection by prior arrangement?

When RDG first acquired this new industrial unit I used to enjoy popping in to browse around all the goodies on display and bought many items. Unfortunately now it is just a spares counter and RDG do the bulk of their business online which is good for RDG but poor for impulse buyers such as me.

I wish the new Myford centre lots of success. I own two extremely rare Myford engineering lathes both at the moment in kit form.
