Hi,
In the early 70's I owned two of these wonderful 750cc bikes; the first was second hand the second brand new; The new one I kitted out with crash bars; tank bag; rear carrier with box and full fairing fitted with a car radio.
I lived on these two bikes and they went everywhere at the tight end of the throttle with the needle completely off the clock; Wakefield to Walthamstow return was done in a morning on a number of occasions. At that time speeding was an offence but only if caught by mobile units unlike now when there is a speed camera mounted on every lamp post. These days though it would be stupid to ride at such speeds so I think I enjoyed my bikes as much as possible and lived to tell the tale unlike five chums who got killed on their bikes and I was a coffin bearer for one of them. I now drive sensibly and do my best to remain within the legal speed limits.
I found this video on YouTube and for the bikers amongst us it is highly watchable; boy it brings back so many good memories.
