I thought it was a fascinating article but I fear 'Screen Grid Valves' may be a bit thin on the ground, modern ones that is.
Would a Pentode with the Suppressor Grid strapped to the Anode work? Of course you'd need one where you could do that.

Aren't MOST Pentode suppressor grids internally connected to the Cathode?

Alan, from what I can gather the Dynatron fell out of favour to the Transitron ie: -ve on the suppressor as the tetrodes of the day were not to reliable in the Dynatron arrangement.
