Good site for magic eyes, nixies and valves

I needed an NOS EM80/6BR5 magic eye, and found a Russian website that sells them at a sensible price. I've just ordered four, which came to £18.40, plus £5.25 handling. (post by air mail).

They have lots of other valves and nixie tubes as well as other items of interest, and accept paypal.

Thank you. The ECC83 is cheap so it might be worthwhile trying to repair one of those early electronic organs I've seen at auction on several occasions where all the valves of this type had been robbed.

On the face of things, this site offers remarkable value - EF86 and 6V6 prices are the lowest I've come across, and by a long way. Worth bookmarking. Thanks, David.

Maybe the 'audiophools' have yet to discover the site - fill your boots while you can!

ECC85 at £6.90, EM84 at £5.25 and ECH81 at 96p each seem very reasonable, and the P&P is reasonable too, at £5.25.

Incidentally, there is a date code on the magic eyes, but it's in 'Cyrillic' so 'Mrs Nicko' would have to decode that. It looks like 6EIN but it isn't.

The four EM80/6BR5 magic eye valves that I ordered a few weeks ago arrived today. They were despatched right away by air mail, but took five weeks to arrive - not the fault of the supplier, and to be expected. The valves are Russian ‘new old stock’ and were very carefully packed. As I said earlier, they cost just £18.40 for the four, (£4.60 each), plus £5.25 international post, so just under £24.00 total - £6.00 each inc post & pack. (When I ordered them there were EM80s of dubious provenance on offer e-bay from private sellers with a starting price higher than this, plus P&P).

The prices are in $US so will fluctuate according to how low the £GBP has sunk when the order is placed.

Well worth a squint at the site, especially if you aren't in a hurry to get particular valves at a keen price.
