I did have all the programmes he did as well as well as the secret lives of machines that Gerry appeared on in the 80s this started a unhealthy obsetion with all things electrical.

There is of course the BVWS DVD - 'Valveman - The story of one man's lifetime obsession' - a documentary about Gerry, which runs for 45 mins, available from Mike Barker, and at BVWS events, which may well include the impending Golborne Swapmeet event. It's well made, interesting and entertaining and covers how Gerry's obsession with radio shaped his life from a very early age (sleeping with an electric plug under his pillow at the age of two!), right through to the present day:

I have never see this one Steve my obese toon started as my grandfather was a scrap man and ther was always electrical fittings and radio chassis about to take things out of especially large speaker magnets .there was also a rubbish tip next to the site and we had accesses and I used to be fascinated at seing how far I could wond a gramophone up unti it exploded.
