Al, from the sounds of it, it was unpacked from it's original crate, seen a few Collins TCS's in crates on Ebay stateside as well over the years.
If it was over here I might have put a bid on, normally a lot of them have had the TX section ripped out.

Hmm, yes, I know. The 19 Set was my first 'foray' into 'short-wave' after getting disappointing 'results' with the family's Philips s/het. - all many, many years ago now, of course. And yes, that 19 Set soon become substantially modified. But looking back, I have no qualms nor regrets over that, since it gave me my first and real 'hands-on' experience of the practical side of working on comms. receivers - and getting to grips with electronics seriously. So I learnt a lot quite quickly (you do when you're young!). And that was the spring-board that subsequently launched me into a career in radio & electronics - which I steadfastly pursued all my working life - until forced retirement a few years ago.
And it all started with a Canadian 19 Set. Ho-Hum.
