Hi All,
I have finally completed in double quick time the work on the TR82 that I obtained for £5 at the Nov 12 Golborne swapmeet.

For its age its cleaned up very well and the AF117's are working very well indeed. I've even sorted the handle out!

You can see the difference between the condition I bought it in and how it has finished

Hi Rob,
Luck of the draw I think as I scrubbed in very hard with washing up liquid and a toothbrush. I can only think that this one was kept out of the light etc.

By the way, you've got a Mk.II TR82D model there not a 'C' version.

Thanks for the update.
I'm very impressed with it - it packs a punch for a portable radio so I can see why they were so popular. It picks up remarkably well on long wave although my French (appears to be mostly French stations) is none to swift.
