next off the to do pile cossor melody maker 524.
I started on this set about 5 years ago as a repair. any way 1/2 way through the guy said he did not want to spend any money and i could keep it.
as it stood i had the am section working abet with hum and distorted out put.
i dug it out last year to put photo in the gallery.
so to start i thought i would tidy up some of the work i had done and change two rs 32 mf caps in the smoothing circiut .
i also found a brown hunts 0.01mf cap that had lost most of its brown coat.
time for some mains.
all am bands work no hum but distorted output.
vhf picks up plenty of stations but at very low volume.
haveing one handy i changed the ecc85 in the vhf tuner needles to say this made no difference.thats as far as i am likley to ge today .
the under chassis view show before and after the tidy up.as can be seen alot of components were changed when i had the first go.

if its made by hand it can be repaired by hand
