My daughter sent me two pics of radios from California, the radiogram is called a Silvertone [Picture yet to arrive] and the second one has Knight emblazoned on , wonder would anybody knows anything on these.

It looks like a modern repro to me. I suppose it COULD be an old one that's been hideously over-restored but I doubt it.

Here's the radio-gram, which does look like it's got some age to it; I bet it only plays 78s.

That escutcheon has a Silvertone look to it "Silvertones" were sold in their millions by Sears I have a Silvertone speaker cabinet which was made by Howard Radio, it too has the horizontal profile bars similar to the ones on the radiogram. The other one might be an original Knight, no defs though.

I was sniffing re-pro due to the tarnish on the name plate as it's the sort of thing that's done to give an aged appearance. Given how good the rest of it was I'd have thought that a restorer would have polished it up better. That said the one on YouTube looks the same so perhaps it was part of the original design.
