Amature SSTV

Hello, is it possible to use an old valve boatanchor as an interface for the decoding of amature SSTV transmissions these days?

Hi Lawrence,

You should be able to in theory, output to the decoder through your headphone socket. I had a play around a few years ago and if I recall the IF Filter on your receiver needs to be quite wide, something like 3kHz and I seem to remember 'mode' was LSB.

pwdrive, i have a slow scan unit, i will have to get it out and see if there are any transmissions still, i know pictures can be saved on audio tape.....regards....Alan.
