Mullard Mustard capacitors

Hi All,
Have you seen the prices of Mullard Mustard Capacitors recently??? I cannot beleive my eyes how much these are on offer for on ebay at present. I know that these are very stable but they aren't realistically worth between £3 and 5 pounds each surely:omg:??

I wish I had the gall to sell the ones I have I probably make a fortune. BUT, I just couldn't do it! Perhaps thats why I'll never have lots of dosh.

These seem to go to vintage guitar amp restorers, and no-doubt the hi-fi fraternity as well. Wish I'd kept all mine now

On the other hand, if you happen to be the proud owner of a rare Strat (ocaster) Gibson or Rickenbacker electric guitar worth hundreds or thousands then twenty quid for three or four vintage or vintage style tone correction caps would not seem out of place...maybe.
PS I only have a Strat copy.

Hi Lawerence,
I've a couple of decent guitars including a 73 Gibson Les Paul Deluxe and an 89 USA Stratocaster but I still wouldn't pay these inflated prices.

Yep I will go for that, a nice proffesionally restored National Resonator or even an unrestored one will do.

Hi Lawerence,
I bought my first decent guitar when I was 30 and my Les Paul (I have another one too) when I was in my early 40s. Its not a cheap hobby and I was really lucky in what I paid for them.
I do have a recommendation though if you are interested - late 80's American Std Strats (must be a made in USA E series) are still easy to pick up and in real terms dont cost that much money. The one I have is a superb instrument and given another 10 years will appreciate in price greatly. I bought mine when it was less than 6 months old.
