I got one of these at the last Golborne event, Someone has already changed a couple of caps and the mains smoothers.
Having switched on noise from the speaker, which has also been repaired, but no stations.

So it will give me the chance to try out Yorkie's signal injector/tracer at the same time

Well it is far too cold for the garage, so I just brought this into the kitchen to have a closer look.
The main caps have been changed so just some fault finding to do and see how we go.

Tried to put some pics up but the auto resizer seems not to be working.

Yuors looks like the FB10/2 later version with the 9 pin valves Mark, from serial number 110,001. (A lot of FB10 radios produced if the numbers started at 000,001!).

Try injecting a signal at pin 2 of the output valve. If you get a loud tone from the speaker, that exonerates the audio stage. If no signal from the speaker - fault in the audio stage.

If the audio stage is OK, inject a signal at the slider of the volume control, and if the detector/AVC stage is working, again, you should get a loud tone from the speaker. If you got such a tone at pin 2 of the output valve, but not at the slider of the volume control, suspect a fault in the detector stage. (valve u/s?).

Try the RF tracer probe on the slider of the volume control. If the mixer and IF stages are working, you should hear tunable signals in the speaker of the injector/tracer, because when used with the RF probe, the tracer performs the same role as the detector/output stage of the radio.

If no tunable signals there, try the RF probe on pin 1 of V2 - the input to IF amp, (from the secondary if the first IFT/output of the mixer stage).

If no tunable signals there, save it till the 25 March Swapmeet and let 'Bodgit and Scarper' sort it out for you, while you try to keep Freya under control and I eat all the pies!

Three things here Mark. Been trying to call but it says you are unavailable. Is your phone OK?

Now I know you are completely mad. One of those...

These are a set which does not seem complicated but often is because of the design. If you're getting nowt, check all the pins on the O/P valve and you should then know if there is a fault here and where. There should be HT on pins 7 and 8. If there is only HT on one, then you can work out from which one it is on where the fault is. There should be about 9 volts on Pin 3.

There should be nothing on Pin 2 by the way. If there is, go for C17.

Just a thought, looking at the Radio and TV servicing sheet, it shows a ferrite rod aerial. Mine has the wound frame aerial.
Unfortunately I can not see a serial number, but on the white dial background where the pointer is, it does sat FB15.
Anyway I shall have a look see, along with a nice Ever Ready Model K that a certain Sir Sydney Weaveringtonham brought round..........deja vue!

There were so many models of these that I am not surprised by that. Check that it's not O/C and also check and clean the wavechange switch, as they are the root of all evil. Especially in this case, as the aerial circuit goes through it too and it's not the best switch in the universe on these.

Another thing to note is that the 6BE6 / EK90 is not the most reliable valve on the planet. Not as bas as the UCC85, but you get the idea.
