some months ago i posted a thread about repairing cracks in the cabinet of one of these sets.
because i had a day stuck at home i thought i would start on the electrics.i had alredy done work on the dropper .most of the rubber covered wire had deteriated and all wax caps were in a sad state
so here are some pics of what has been done so far
lots more to do i have fitted a new mains lead.not shown and have reformed the smothing block, more wiring needs to be changed.

all unsafe wire repaced 2 new 6 volt 0.6amp bulbs fitted now just the cabinet to do must admit not the best ekco i have worked on every wax cap had to be replaced and a bit of a cramped layout and a lot of the rubber wire was us .it now works very well but runs hot
