I didn't test em to any great extent as they worked well, and I trusted the bloke who wound them. I used em in designs I knocked up after building a prototype the first time and chucking a design together the second time. In both cases I didn't have an issue, if I had then I would have tested them for all parameters. As it was they just worked, even pushed with ooodles of NFB.
A one off member of a forum built a 5-20 using two Sowter OPT's, he had a hell of a job, it took him over a year to get the design stable. Loads of very experienced builders ran simulations and subjected the OPT's to a barrage of tests to try and tame the damn things.
So, using typical English understatement, your OPT's were alright Joe, which is saying a lot by saying not much.
Andy.
