If you don't mind waiting, i have boards on order which can be posted within the UK obviously. You may want to avoid the possibility of boards arriving with the import charge and the post office fee.

Frank, what you have done with this new converter is made a worthy successor to Darryl's World Converter. This has long been unavailable. It's of particular importance to those who want to work with the Baird 240 line standard. This inherently cannot be done with an Aurora SCRF. The only other route, pioneered by Kat Manton, Peter Scott and others, is using a PC graphics card to make the video. Frank's converter is a "one box" solution, including a flexible modulator.

I quite agree with Jeffrey well done. This gives me a chance to run my Baird T5 on the 240 line standard. The only set I know of that I’ve seen running on 240 line is a Marconiphone 702 at Harpenden.
This I believe was using the word converter and Jeffrey may correct me on that.

You sowed the seed for all of it.
240 lines hasn't been tested properly on a 240 line set. From what I could do testing it on other sets and looking at it on a scope it looks Good.

The 240 line standard has one long frame pulse that is 12 lines long.
To produce this long pulse with Hedghog PSC.
For "NO OF BROADPULSE" select 24 as there is 2 broad pulses in each line.
Then increase "BROADPULSE WIDTH" until the 24 broad pulses merge into 1 long pulse.

I would be very interested to hear how it works with your Baird when you get it finished.
I think that is a good decision to get them from Stephen. Lets hope the PCB's coming from PCBWay don't suffer the same fate as mine.

The 240 line demo at Harpenden was using my World Converter. But not my 702, which is 405 only.

I can test it on the "Frankenstein" Bush TV22 that works down to 120 lines.
Will order one when funds allow.

Spent sometime over the weekend on this project. I am now trying to get it to convert from NTSC as well as PAL. So far getting good results even though it is not completed yet.
For a 525 line signal I have been using both a Hedghog PSC and one of those mini HDMI2AV boxes that can convert from HDMI to PAL or NTSC.
It would appear that converting from 60Hz to 50Hz results in less judder than going from 50Hz to 60Hz.

When completed I will update the firmware on the website. It will require both the FPGA and microcontroller firmware to be updated.

When I get this finished the only thing it wont have been tested converting from is SECAM.
I know very little about SECAM but as far as I understand the luminance portion of the signal is the same as PAL and this is the only part I am interested in.
The video decoder can decode SECAM so I think it should be able to convert from SECAM as well.
