Hi.
When I went to Milan in 1997 for the Sony service competition part of my prize was an MZ-R30 minidisk recorder. It still has the original Lithium Ion and after sitting in the machine since the 3rd of August last year was still partially charged with one segment showing on the display. It's now on charge and I fully expect it to perform just as it always has. Not bad for a battery nearly 23 years old.
Compared to the lithium ion batteries in phones the life is much longer, so is this due to current demands or poor quality of newer batteries?
