Excellent result David.
I already queried whether 405 worked and with sound, so now we have another source. I'm now seriously considering a HackRF. I've spoken to Phil before and at that time 405 line operation had not been tested.

The HackRF is undoubtedly a powerful tool for RF work. However it's over £200 so not a cheap option if all you want is 405 line TV.

Hi Jeffrey.
You can buy a Hack RF cheaper than that https://www.aliexpress.com/item/HackRF-O...4997opZl6l&ws_ab_test=searchweb0_0,searchweb201602_2_10065_10068_10130_10547_319_317_10548_5728815_10696_10192_10190_453_10084_454_10083_10618_10307_10820_10301_10821_10303_537_536_5733215_5733315_328_10059_10884_5733115_10887_100031_5733415_321_322_10103_5733515_5733615-5733315,searchweb201603_55,ppcSwitch_0&algo_expid=7647e631-5401-422e-acaf-ffc6b38f1ef4-0&algo_pvid=7647e631-5401-422e-acaf-ffc6b38f1ef4 Available on many other outlets.

I'm definitely placing an order for one. Will report back soon.
Nice to see you here Phil, welcome to the forum. Your input will be most welcome.

I've just added NICAM stereo support to hacktv. It's hard for my brain to think of NICAM as a vintage standard, it's still modern to me :-)

Is there no limit to what hacktv can do?
Perhaps I've missed something but is there any way to get a video signal into hacktv? As against it generatng a test pattern etc.

Just list the files on the command line, for example: Code: $ hacktv -f 855250000 -g 47 universe.mp4 doctorwho.mkv

I thought it might be able to play media files but that there's no way to get a live video feed into it. Again unless I'm mistaken.
