Hello from Peterborough

Hi I thought I would introduce myself. I have been a member of Paul's forum for many years and have seen this one mentioned from time to time so I thought I would join and say hello! 
I have a fair collection of radio sets built up over the last 25 years. More recently I have built up a collection of Television sets mainly the models I played with in my teens. 
I have a couple of sets that I have owned many years, an Invicta 7070U I was given in around 1972/3 and the first set my parents purchased a 19" Marconi 8500. 
I see some familiar names here I remember Trevor from Paul's forum I used to enjoy reading his posts there , in fact my mate Mick sold Trevor a Thorn valve portable Tv back then which I helped pack for Courier delivery. 
I have met Jeffery a few times on the bring and buy and have fallen "victim" to his sales patter more than once! !  Hi Jeffery!

Hi Rich, Glad you have found us.
Its a friendly place here and the moderation is not over strict. You can actually have a chat with friends and exchange views, similar to the old Vrat forum. (so long as it is not political or religious)

Are you sure it was me doing the sales patter on the B&B? Brian Summers (Beamcurrent) is the master salesman on these occasions. I often wince when I hear him in full flight

Thanks for all the replies and good wishes I will post the restoration of my latest Tv once it gets underway. it's a set I have been looking for for a while a Murphy Astra.
I have always found the members very friendly on the aforementioned forum and have had a fair bit of help over the years, I am always careful what I post though and despite that have been "moderated " from time to time. my latest sin was to discuss a butchered Kb tv on the auction site That dare not speak it's name.. I should have known better I suppose! 
Trevor I'm glad to hear the Thorn or BRC set is still alive and well I will let Mick know I'm sure he will be Pleased to hear.

Oh, and be careful - I can think of other forums where you'd get a slapped wrist for that errant apostrophe!
