Hello, please allow me to introduce myself. I am Andy Gilham and I am a member of the mechanical design team at Megger Ltd in Dover, Kent. I have worked for Megger for 23 years, when they were still Avo.
2 years ago we celebrated our 50th year in Dover with an open day. I got involved with creating a museum, by gathering instruments, information and company memoribilia. This has led me to, by default become the company historian.
The company is planning to create a permanent museum on site, which I am planning to fill with products from our past, and so I am in the process of collecting, buying, and receiving by donation many nice product. A lot of my help coming from Richard of richard radios fame, I have visited his workshop and it's a treasure trove!
Additionally I have also had 36,000 microfilms scanned into PDF and catalogued. These are drawing sets for avo, ACWEECO and Eversheds products dating back to the 40's. I have found some really interesting information, and I am slowly going through it and writing a detailed account!
So, that's me and my mission. I can help out where I can and I would appreciate any information from fellow users.
