Hello folks. Just recently got interested in vintage hifi. So far I've gathered up a few items the best of which I'd say is my akai am2800 amp. Cleaned up well. Also was given a Sanyo briefcase system recently which is what brought me to this site. It's the quality and servicability of the older stuff that impresses me.

Isn't vintage hifi great? You can get schematics, it's mostly fixable and you can see the components without the aid of an electron microscope! Welcome to the forum.

You are right there.
If it is mixed to play on a mobile phone speaker it will sound exactly the same on a good amp.
