TDSL (Duncan's Amps) personal edition

The TDSL personal edition software is a wonderful resource for valve data. It runs fine under XP but with Windows 7 it gives an error message when it exits. This isn't serious but would be nice to eliminate this. I've tried running it with Xpsp3 compatibility but this makes no difference.

TDSL hasn't worked properly for years - about 5 years ago I entered into an email conversation with Duncan, having paid for the apps.

Nothing came of it - the code hasn't been updated for many years.

Bit sad, really...

I run it in wine on linux. Again it works OK but it also exist with an error.

TDSL is free, but was last updated in 2008. In fairness it works perfectly and just gives an error message on exit. But since it is a 32 bit app run on a 64 bit machine that is several generations beyond what the software was written for, I'm not unhappy. It worked error-free under XP, by the way.

The other goody there is PSU designer, which I use frequently. That exits without error.

Never worked reliably. Gave up on it. Pretty poor quality s/w IMHO.

But do you know of any other package with the capabilities? And it is reliable enough for what I need.

I tried it and for German valves: Philips, Telefunken etc its not that good, invariably having no data. Yes! it gives links but they don't work on the ones I tried. So I use Frank's:

I've just tried my copy of TDSL personal edition, having not used it for a long time. It loads instantly - as would be expected - and there's no error displayed on closing. I'm running Windows 10. Previously, with Windows 7, it gave the error mentioned by Jeffrey.
The program is limited but it is a useful and very simple resource and can save book and on-line searches when I'm feeling lazy.
