Next month I'll be off to a place where it's summer. Except it will be colder than most of winter in London

It is autumn, I know cos' I'm off. Be in Nick's area in a week, for a few hours at least, before going on to 10° 18' N, 123° 53' E  even warmer!

Nah. Cebu is cheating - it's the same temp all year round- about 31C. May be warmer at the moment, but it's a rank amateur for the rest of the year

OK. Fair enough but its often 36C+.  How about 12°38'29" N 124°22'30" E for Christmas & New Year?

Anyone want to join us rather than freeze/ drown in the UK?

The furthest south I'll be going is 64.8251° S, 63.4942° W So not quite to the Antarctic circle which is at 66.56083°S So not quite to the land of the midnight sun though it won't stay dark for very long.

Getting nippy and stormy here today with last of leaves coming down, yesterday we had no heat on.

Suddenly autumn was all over, same tree from same angle one week later.
