BVWS Harpenden - 28th September

Hi All,

There will be an Auction Catalogue for this coming Harpenden on Sunday.

I am just over two thirds of the way through the lotting up and loading.

Once complete (Hopefully before middle of Friday) I will get the list off to Paul for the BVWS website.

There are a lot of 405 Line TV's this time and plenty of boxes of valves (including several PX4 and PP3/250's), a couple of valve testers, Heaps of radios, test gear and 1920's radios and components galore.

I expect the auction to be close on 300 lots. Which is about half of what we currently have here, but the rest will have to wait for Golborne and RWB as the van is not big enough for any more.

I have heard from Vic Williamson that he has ordered 29 tables for the main hall which leaves him a few spares, so if you want a Table then give him a call pretty quickly.

There will also be a display of WW2 German radio/TX equipment plus other items on display in the side hall and we will also have a Marconi TV Studio camera and associated equipment fully working and running, again in the small hall and also outside of the front entrance (weather permitting).

So there is lots to see and do and well as plenty to spend your pennies on.

Hi All,

Well I have "so far" managed to get up to 253 lots for this coming Harpenden Auction.

The Catalogue has been sent to Paul, so it will appear on the BVWS website when he has time to process it.

I will be continuing to add auction items up to a limit of 300 lots subject to being able to get them on the van and car otherwise I cannot get any more to the event.

With the amount of stuff we currently have here I could have doubled this easily and we still have three radio collections to pick up before Golborne on 2nd November and RWB on 7th December!
