I've been asked to check whether an Evoke 1S is charging it's battery pack properly.
Having measured the charging current via my bench PSU, I find that (a) the Battery Pack's terminal voltage as received was ca. 3.6v (b) the charging current with 3.8v applied is about 600mA. The Battery pack is a genuine PURE 'Charge-Pak' of 8800mAh capacity. Two questions are in my mind (1) How long would the battery take to reach full charge at 800mA. Is it 8800 divided by 600 or about 14 hours?
(2) Does that charging current seem right. There is no easy way to check what is between the radio's PSU i/p and it's battery pack connection. Having dismantled it, the part(s) between the PSU connection and battery connection on the main PCB are unnderneath screening covers on both sides of the board, each soldered to the PCB in several places.
