Gec bc5070

I am very confused with valve equivalents I recently purchased a gec 5070 set it arrived with the ktw61 valve broken . Could I use a w61 in its place as specified in the radio and television servicing book as it shows both in the valve line up or will I have to change resistor values to use it

hi robin a W 61 should work fine with no change to components.

Thankyou for your help I will look on that sale site for 1 it was delivered by the parcel wreckers in a bad state but not a bad set

They are the same spec so there will be no changes needed.
