I've really no idea to be honest. I'm not sure that I did it but the resistor lead was short so perhaps I must have cut it in error.

Oh, dear. If there's a good bit sticking up you might stand a chance. Otherwise .....
I've never had any faith in Easyouts. Dill and Helicoil is a much better bet in my experience.

Luckly its a retaining bolt so I can use the car but I will need to replace it (and the car which is like me, too many miles on the clock)

That does not look like a clean cut and the set looks clean and little used.
I have some mono block amplifiers that came from a BER heap clear out back in the 1980s.
Faults included a shorted loose wire in an output transformer and a resistor 10 times the value it should have been in a CRC HT filter. The chassis looks new like yours on sets that have never worked correctly from new.
I have a very nice valve hifi now they are fixed properly.

'Connections' that aren't Here's an example.

Recently, I overhauled a Racal RA-17L. As is usual with these receivers, the 2nd. VFO assembly needed an extensive overhaul - and that is mainly because of the heat generated in its tightly-sealed box - there is insufficient ventilation in that box for the heat to escape. Upon opening it up, it was obvious that someone had been there before - and had not made a very good job of an 'overhaul'.
