Pygmy bulb

I am making a test panel for my work shop were can I get a brass bulb holder for a Pygmy bulb I have been told that this yep of bulb is now discontinued and is illig to sell by a wilco worker .

I know joe I have searched the mixed boxes at boot sales but have not found one of yet maybe some one has one lurking in there bits and bobs box

The Wilco worker has been misinformed - Wilco may have stopped stocking them, but they're certainly not illegal - pygmy bulbs with various terminations (BC, MBC, ES, SES) are widely used in such things as fridges, freezers, sewing machines, ovens, microwaves etc, and are widely available as Joes links show. (I've just bought one from B&Q). Poundland have them too, in abundance!

Normal BS/ES incandescent lamps are available too - they're not illegal if branded for 'rough service' and that's how shops that stock them get around the impediment.

Another possibility, if space isn't too tight, would be a normal table-lamp-type holder on a mounting plate fixed to a block of wood.

   
This wouldn't be any cheaper mail-order but the bits are more likely to turn up at car-boots and the like or should be available new locally so at least there'd be no postage to pay.

that's what I thought yorkie I prefer using them instead of LEDs I will be off to pound land to stock up tommorow ,
