I don't know where to put this, but here seems as good as anywhere.
Component Storage is a perenial problem, and the time always comes when fishing through a multiplicity of boxes gets very wearing. It gets even worse when you buy something in the full knowledge that you haven't got one and then find the original after the new one has come. When I think of the number of Storage Racks, the ones with the little plastic drawers, that I've skipped over the years I could weep.
There was a Thread on much the same subject a couple of years ago - no rush is there - http://golbornevintageradio.org/forum/sh...hp?tid=818&page=2&highlight=storage - which I added to. Unfortunately it was before the 'Disaster' and the pictures aren't there. I don't think it's worth putting them all back but below is a sample. It's a simple wooden box into which are glued little 24 plastic pots - E24 naturally. That prototype was OK but I actually never got any further forward, but I did keep saving the pots.
Recently I was given an ex-Post Office cabinet with Document Drawers. Those Drawers are just the right size for 24 pots - now we're motoring
So I pressed on, and if I say so myself it works very well.
Now for the 'disaster' - I've run out of pots. I thought I had plenty, but at 24 per Drawer you need a lot. They actually originally contained WeightWatcher Fromage Frais - http://www.weightwatchersfoods.co.uk/pro...frais.html - but SWMBO has stopped eating them, at least for now 'cause she doesn't like the Summer selection.
So, does anyone's household consume them? My enthusiasm is low, but .....
Alan
