Is there anyone here who can present me with a picture of a Pye model 65A wireless, please - or failing that, direct me to where I might find said picture on the 'Net?

I could only find this small BW image from a service sheet recently sold on ebay.

There's a reasonably good picture and service sheet which you can download free of charge from Savoy Hill's website at this link:

Thank you gentlemen! I've received a 'wink and a nod' about one that will be "becoming available" soon, and I simply wanted to know what one looked like and a bit of technical stuff about it - which, with your help, I now have.
Yes, I did the usual 'Net search prior to asking here . . . but drew a blank . . . ho-hum. Does anyone know if this set comes into the "desirable & collectable" category? Just curious, since domestic sets like this are a bit on the fringe of my knowledge and experience. Thanks again. Al.

in 44 years i have not come across one does it mean ther rare i dont know ,collectable ,well i would collect one.

Nothing particularly special about them as far as I know except they're battery, which possibly makes them a bit thin on the ground. I've got one which I fired up as per picture and it works. Interesting Output stage. I've got the Pye and ERT Sheets. I'll get to it properly soon. Alan

Alan: as for any rarity / collectable status, I more-or-less concluded much the same opinion as you. Apparently, this model is a post-war production item. I was somewhat surprised, therefore, to discover it is a battery table-top model. Al.

We used a battery tabletop set up until around '55 'cause we weren't on the Mains.
I guess there were a lot more out in the sticks. Alan |
