I confess - I knew about this in advance. Linux Monthly magazine had an advance article about it. I entered a competition there to try and win one. I'm what people call a 'geek'.
What I need to know is whether it will create different sync trails on this unit. Some Linux machines can, some cant. If yes, well it's a go! Two USB Ports, one for a DVD player or tuner, one for a keyboard. Change mode lines. TV sound and video out on the two sockets there opposite the HDMI port. Memory and Myth TV aboard a card that plugs in. Then all we need is a modulator. Cheers, Steve P.
If we've always had that, why is the car boot open? You aren't smuggling in another old TV are you...?

OK, hardly a difficult thing to predict, but happy to be right. I woke up at 6pm to find the Farnell and RS websites down and gave up on the idea of buying one of the first batch. I'm very excited, but realistically, I've got too much else on at the moment :-( Shame about Farnell being so badly affected. The surge in traffic (which was only 3 times normal) should hardly come as a surprise... Here's hoping they'll get started on the second batches soon

I had a pre-order link sent to me by Farnell today, price is £24.55 business or £29.46 consumer. only difference is the VAT, plus a free T shirt for pre order customers.
Needless to say, I have ordered mine.

Cheeky gits - it should be £22+VAT! Indeed, RS quote £21.60+VAT on their site. I use Farnell less and less these days...
Looking forward to hearing how you get on with yours - and seeing the t-shirt ![]() Mark

Just had ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF ORDER sent to me, estimated date of delivery is W/C 30/04/2012.
Knowing me, I will probably forgot all about it by then, until it pops through the letterbox.

Just received an Email from Farnell, my delivery date has just moved back by 2 months
![]() This is the received message: Quote:Breakthroughs. Exhilarating, but rarely without hiccups. OH WELL, when it arrives, I will have completely forgot about it.
Hello all....what will this thing do...would it do software for SDR receivers for instance?

Yet more delays announced due to CE compliance testing.
http://www.raspberrypi.org/archives/878 Dates of an august delivery are now being mentioned in some places. So while we are waiting, a search came across this, I know it is more expensive, but seems a similar concept. THE BEAGLEBOARD. http://beagleboard.org/ Has anyone any experience of one of these boards? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cXr-D1wROfQ |
