What a lovely old Radio, and after your restoring, will be worth quite a bit as it sure is a rare one, the cabinet is looking better, the hard part is fixing the veneer, biut will look outstanding and sound great, well done.......regards Alan.

hi mark, time to get out your electric kettle and get the steam flying, , also a cobblers knife or suitable implement, to trim the edges first, hope you were lucky to get a bit of veneer to match, also hope u had a good meet, and said hello to my good friend mike phelan, , looking forward to seeing the polished finish on the graves ,

Attached a new speaker cloth........
not the original but it looks good.
Just waiting for the veneer to set in place now.

veneer has been let in!

Oki doki, the veneer has been let in, and following Col's method the cabinet has now has a dose of walnut stain.
I should add that where the veneer was let in it was stoppered with a wax stick and old soldering iron.

Thanks Guys, actually it is quite rewarding doing the cabinets, there is actually a visual change with the work you do.
Scary at the same time, one slip and you have to start again!
