It rains plenty in Southend Terry although it used to be the driest part of the country but the weather is strange now ! The up draft from the air con / heater clears the screen in almost no time so that isn't a problem. I'm certain a heated front screen would be a mainly unused addition to pay for as are heated seats. This car and the one before had them but they never got used by me although my lady may have occasionally. I didn't really pay for them as both cars were low mileage used.
Another, to me, useless addition is auto headlights and wipers. The lights can be dangerous as they are left on auto and then my wife night dreaming turns them to off ! A good safety feature that works well is the flat tyre monitoring system; I would pay for that if buying new. I wouldn't buy low profile tyres though, see no advantage and just more likely to catch the rims on a kerb.
Could do with a de-humidifier in my van as you could grow spuds in it. The water gets in somewhere behind the battery but the drain holes are all clear !! Tried lots of things but it still gets in ... makes for mildew and funny smell. OK after some hot weather and drying out with the doors open.
