I have had one of these for 10 years and still going strong (had to bypass one pole on the on/off switch about 5 years ago). In the workshop and ready for instant clear up. Not sure it came with the wet and dry filter but that's worth getting as occasionally I have used the wet facility but its a lot less messy if you empty the dry waste and brush the filter roughly clean first.

Thanks lawrence; yes I understood OK but I was just thinking of my own personal situation located here on the valley. What a toy to have though to be able to drive to various sites; set up and thickness timber and couple it with a nice big pick up; you really are making me drool.

The Woodmizer is a up market version of the Logosol and for anyone serious about having a go the prices I saw shoot up make it look affordable. Both saws are serious kit. I like the sawdust collection on the woodmizer making for cleaner working and leaving the area after sawing tidy. I'd have to be a fair weather sawyer though because I don't like being soaked or frozen so this rules out 9 months of every year for me but I can dream?

Thanks for the suggestion and Wickes link Gary regarding the vac. I already have a couple of vacs; an Electrolux in the garage and A bigger VAX in the workshop so I'm covered for cleaning; the best aid for cleaning is a cheap hand brush and plastic pan which I use a great deal as work progresses; I was taught as an apprentice to be a neat and tidy worker and this has always remained with me. I bought the VAX at a Rufforth meeting for £25 second hand; the Electrolux I bought brand new through eBay costing around £17; shortly after buying this it packed in; dust had entered the slider suction (speed) control and when I stripped this I found it to be nothing more than a slider pot so I removed the pot and replaced it with a fixed resistor and have not had any trouble since.

I'm now feeling much better after my run in with sunburn so tomorrow I can potter around and take stock of what I've got by way of kit and have a think of what I want rather than need at the moment. My desk is cluttered with two printers so I'm thinking of making a matching piece of furniture to my desk to accommodate both printers which should be a nice project but then I still have two Myfords wanting a lot of TLC?
