Hi,

How about really going to town Big Al and make your own bespoke storage to suit your needs? The following YouTube video shows one method of making simple wooden boxes and such a box could easily be adapted perhaps with a selection of inner compartments or lightweight wooden boxes. The scope is endless and would prove to be an interesting project?

A number of these boxes could be arranged drawer fashion in a unit mounted on castors?

I've also got a job lot of Linbins in various sizes and also some 'Louvred' panels to hang them on. The snag I find is that they tend to get knocked off too easily.
A good source of little boxes are the ones that Business Cards come in - you can buy empty ones for not much.

"Linbins" - that's the name - still got about 200 to use up.

I use loads of the business card boxes - collected them for years from work - secretaries think I'm mad (or sad) (or both) - they are great - really useful size to keep bits and bobs in and being translucent, you can inspect them easily. Some, annoyingly, have holes in the bottom, but most don't - I used to use 35mm film canisters, but they don't really exist any more

Many of my older stock is in tobacco and cigar tins. Things such as germanium transistors are in them.

As an alternative to film canisters, i collect and use diabetes test strip containers.
