Wood pigeons quite commonly crash into windows.
I have witnessed three. No broken glass though. Two were into house windows and one into the passenger side window in a van while stuck in traffic. I have seen a swan crash into a tree in winter when it had no leaves.

We have put stickers on our kitchen windows after a spate of blue tits knocking themselves out... Seems to have worked...

I remember a robin flew into my house window when I was young with enough force to be fatal.
Me & my brother buried it in the garden.

It was previously called the Perry Scope, after its inventor, one Alphonse Hermann Perry.
