A curious capacitor

Well researched. So somebody needed 2.5uF capacitors and arrnaged for 1+1+0.5 to be bundled. They're marked "Erie". Was there some tie-up between Hunts and Erie. In any case these are much better quality parts than most paper caps. All the ones I've checked are not leaky, which is unusual for any old paper cap, except for the metal can, ceramic pillar, hermetically sealed, paper-in-oil types.

I've added a screenshot of the Hunts ad referenced by Craig. These were clearly high quality parts, specified for military applications.
