No More eBay Completed Listings

A particularly useless search is to enter AVO. Which comes up with a list of meters - Model 7 and Model 8 etc. But no AVO valve testers.

You have to specifically search AVO valve tester to see the testers. But even so 90-odd percent of the hits are for valves "tested on an AVO valve tester" - and they are in the same category as the testers themselves, so you cannot filter them out.

It doesn't work for me either now Peter...
I was shown different cars to you though, first a classic 70's Volvo then a Indy roadster - oh yes, very similar to what's being searched for... NOT.
However, I did an advanced search for "Morris Cowley Flatnose Tourer" and ticked 'completed listings' and did find it when I first tried but on my second attempt (to check) it DID NOT !

I give up.

then click on "see original listing" and you get the original item. with a load of adverts for other cars at the top of the page.

I wonder if it depends on what type of device you are using.

Hi Mike,

I don't think it depends on your operating system. I followed your sequence and actually got to the Cowley original listing this morning. I think it has something to do with the irrelevant diversion that they give you. Perhaps whether or not it has ended.

Hi.
I too have noticed eBay is harder to navigate around. I had been looking for a Panda boot liner last week and forgot about its end date and when I went back using my history there was no sign of it.
The issue has been mentioned on car forums so I can't see it doing eBay any favours.

Ebay is frustrating, you just get your auto searches how you like them, then the programmers have to have a fiddle and everything goes to pot and you have hundreds of irrelevant items pop up in the USA.
I disable email notifications and rely instead on frequent visits to my searches "feed" page using the link. https://www.ebay.co.uk/feed this normally shows all the items which have been added and match my searches. Then if I am not interested in any of the items, I just click on the little x in the top right corner of each thumbnail and the item disappears from the list.
