Yesterday I fitted a couple of these for a friend. In a loft room with a very low ceiling. http://www.toolstation.com/shop/Lighting...ght/p33913
Ultra low profile, they project about 2mm from the ceiling and are only about 12mm thick overall. There is a separate driver in a small box. 330 lumen so comparable to a 50W GU10 halogen but less than a decent 12V 50W halogen. Wide angle and diffuse light that's nicer than the near point source of GU10 or MR16 bulbs. Both the friend and I are impressed. The bigger ones give better lumens per watt and are should be just as good.
