W.J. Polydrof propposed ferro inductors and permeability tuning in 1931, I would assume that when ferro slugs came in then pearmeabilty tuning would have come in.

I've got two of those Pyes, and two EKCOs. One of the Pyes is just the main box and needs a PSU. It's in pretty sad condition.The other one has had a mains PSU and speaker added and looks as though it was the Workshop radio. I'll get to them, honest  Alan

No. The top box contains a mains PSU and a speaker. Do you like the mains cable and plug? Close to lethal I would think. Alan

BS39 7XJ http://www.radios.freeserve.co.uk/ A splendid fellow. As it came from them I'd better not Post it. The label on the mains one has been modified, although the whole thing looks authentic. Perhaps Pye were using up old stock. Alan
