Yes, Lawrence, I know what you mean. I took my school History education to G.C.E. 'O' level (1966). Looking back, on the basis of what I have learnt since, I can see that my History teacher, although he knew his subject very well and was very thorough, put a distinct but very subtle class bias in his lectures.
