By the way, your comment about the case being "Like a casket" is a fair one. I stuck to a design I knew I could build but the experience gained on it, and having decent non-self-destructive ply-wood, would encourage me to have a go at something more stylish in future.

The P75 now sports a socket to connect it to. :P

Spurred on by Joe, I've just acquired one of these 'FMT1' Jasonkit tuners on e-bay for a modest 99p!

There's a 1965 Practical Wireless advert for Jasonkits here:

There isn't a picture of the FMT1 in the ad, but they were listed in the ad at £5.19s 0d, (plus valves, plus PSU, plus an amp). At today's prices, accounting for inflation, £5.19s 0d equates to £83.00! (My 99p equates to 7p in 1965). I was surprised to see that there's next to nothing other than anecdotal recollections on t'internet about Jasonkits, and AFAIK, no-one has turned up a circuit (unless anyone knows different?) It will be interesting to see if it works when it arrives!

I'd said in my earlier post that no-one has come up with a circuit as far as I know. Losing the plot again - it was right under my nose! I was surprised but pleased to note that a 27-page Data-Books manual on Jasonkits FM tuners and a PSU are on Paul Stenning's DVD.

Oooh look, I've just realised that with this post, I'm one post away from being upgraded to 'Senior Engineer in Charge'. I don't know how I do this for the money! If it was based on word count, I'd have been soaring with the eagles long ago

Yes Lawrence - it's listed but not illustrated on the advert at the link that I and Al posted above. (£14.19.0d in 1965 - about £210 today!)
