A great read. I'm most likely over 2,000,000 miles too, used to record my mileage for around 20 years which equates to around 75,000 per annum. The mileage of course was added in the main in the TV trade but also on the length and breadth of the UK showing Skye Terriers at dog shows for around 10 years.
In the latter portion of my working life I was a service engineer of industrial cleaning equipment doing between 50 & 70 thousand miles a year. Now only do around 4000 each year, driving is now a chore not a pleasure as I loved it when I was younger even trying to fly through calls.
