Hi Trevor the Ford Zetec engine is a very good engine for conversions as it makes classic cars more useable Always wanted to fit a Rover V8 into a Skoda Estelle and keep the car looking standard and Racing a VW Golf GTI from the traffic lights . Seen a MG today fitted with a Toyota twin cam engine with motor bike carbs with points distributor ( no horrible electronics ) & 5 speed gearbox this conversion the owner says was done 23 years ago and the only thing he changed was from Weber to motorbike carbs .
