Last night the 902 power supply unit was removed for examination.
The original EHT transformer was an oil filled component. The first picture shows the cut-outs in the chassis for the Parmeko like transformer. After failure of the first transformer the subsequent EHT transformers were of conventional construction which made it necessary to make an adaptor plate to mount the transformers.
Non of those replacement transformers were of EMI manufacture.
Now that an EMI transformer will be fitted on the chassis a new adaptor plate will be made for it.
