Am I correct from the image in post #1 that this will be the red/yellow leads together and the black as ground as per indicated? This will be of course 12v DC and 500ma connection.

Hi Rob.
Yes just join the red and yellow leads together, the black is ground which is the same as the metalwork on the radio. When I said 500ma I wasn't making reference to the radio but just saying a PSU source of 500ma will be sufficient for a test less speakers, Iff it does power up then use a decent supply and wire up some speakers (4ohm of higher) and test, if there is no output it's pretty worthless and only good for spares.
There are few on ebay BUT they don't sell because they are over priced, one is just over £100 but has no output, really should be £25, there is as much chance of getting the output chip as winning the lottery.
Hope yours works but don't ask a fortune then you'll have more chance of a sale.
