Today, as far as I know, all military equipment wiring is crimped. No wire wraps here!!.
Edge connectors, are, as we know ( from repairing our PC's ) are pretty crappy. Even decently gold plated
( NOT that gold is the best connector, it just doesnt corrode )
edge connectors and edge sockets are not consistant, nor do they stay "tensioned ".
The heaviest current terminals will soften and lose tension, as you all know.
So Mr Borinsky, I essentially agree with you, but decently designed electronics ( as opposed to economically )
isnt very common. After all, its the dollar that drives designers, NOT quality.
