Your boiler must be for a single cup!!!. 300 watts is tiny. Plus a UPS is just big enough to give you time to shut down the computer nicely. Its not designed to run more than about 10 minutes.
The transformers in these little tiddlers is about 100 watts core size. After the 10 mins or so that the battery lasts that transformer will be way to hot to touch.
One of the comments in the feedback says, Throw it away after 2-3 years and buy another.
